Contract Award for New Animal Shelter Approved

Delta Community Animal Shelter will have a new home soon. A contract was awarded by Delta Mayor and Council on January 16, 2012 to Humphrey's Construction Ltd. for the design-build for the new facility

The existing 40 year old animal shelter is outdated, lacks sufficient space and appropriate facilities for the animals, staff and the shelter's many dedicated volunteers. With construction of the South Fraser Perimeter Road taking place next to the existing animal shelter, it is important the new shelter is opened prior to the highway's scheduled completion in 2013.
